We rolled out a new update recently to better manage the Free Previews of recorded transactions and what happens when you add a comp yourself, i.e. what we call Your Additions.
As an anonymous user or Basic user, you can preview the latest three recorded transactions for each asset type – Hotel, Office, Retail or Residential. This should give you a good feel for how the system works, how the search works and what fields are usually recorded for each transaction.
Whether you choose to become a Pro subscriber or not, should you decide to contribute a transaction, this transaction will always be available in full detail to you. Even if more information is added or information is updated to that the transaction. With the Your Additions functionality, you can treat OpenComps as your own spreadsheet in the cloud to record transaction that interest you, even if you don’t subscribe to the Pro functionality. We sincerely want you to contribute your comps and track transactions that interest you. We have other cool ideas for expanding Your Additions functionality, which will hopefully make it even more useful to you.
As a Pro subscriber, of course, you will remove this preview limitations and enjoy full, unrestricted access to all of the site’s content and functionality.
